Big Mac Chopped Salad

Ingredients
  • 1 -1 1⁄2 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1⁄2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickle
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 1⁄2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3⁄4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1⁄4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • Croutons (optional)
Directions
  1. Season the ground beef with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Brown and drain. Let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked and cooled ground beef, finely chopped onions, pickles, shredded lettuce and cheese; toss well. Place in a large salad/serving bowl.
  3. In a separate small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss everything to evenly coat salad.
  5. Toss in croutons for those who want them (I prefer the salad without them to keep it low carb but suit your taste)
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
