Yorkshire Puddings
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup water at room temperature
- 12 tsp vegetable, canola, or corn oil
Directions
- Whisk 2 eggs in a medium bowl and then, stirring with a wooden spoon, gradually add the salt, flour, and milk.
- Once those are well combined, add the water and whisk until smooth.
- Pour into a measuring cup or pitcher, and don't be afraid of the odd lump. Cover and let sit at room temperature for at least an hour before baking.
- When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 450 f.
- Using a 12 cup muffin pan, place a teaspoon of oil into each cup and place into the 450 oven for 3 minutes.
- Carefully remove the pan from the oven and pour 1/4 cup portions of the batter into each cup. Bake for app 15 minutes until the puddings are puffed and lightly browned.
