3 green onions
2 cups sugar snap peas, trimmed
1 sweet red pepper, one sweet yellow pepper, cut into chunks
2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tsp EACH rice vinegar, minced fresh gingeroot and garlic
1 lb sirloin grilling steak 3/4 inch thick
1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
Sesame Noodles (recipe follows)
1/2 cup unsalted roasted peanuts
Slice green onion tops, set aside. Cut remaining onion sections into 2 inch lengths; toss together with peas, peppers, hoisin sauce, vinegar, ginger root and garlic on a large foil lined baking sheet.
Rub beef all over with Chinese five spice powder. Grill over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes per side. Cover with foil, let rest for 10 minutes, before thinly slicing.
Meanwhile, broil vegetable for 5-8 minutesuntil lightly charred. To serve, mound sesame noodles on plates. Top with broiled vegetables, beef slices, and more hoisin sauce to taste if desired. Sprinkle with peanuts.
Sesame Noodles
Cook one package of whole wheat spaghetti until al dente. Drain and toss with the reserved green onion tops, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes.
