Asian Pear Slaw
Salad
- 4 cups Chinese, Napa cabbage, chopped
- 2 chopped green onions
- 4 thinly sliced slivered pears
- 2 Asian pears, chopped (or 2 apples)
- 1 small tin drained mandarin oranges
- 1 cup roasted cashews or toasted sliced almonds
Asian Dressing
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar, honey, or Splenda brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
Directions
- Mix
the salad ingredients together and drizzle with some of the dressing, toss and enjoy.
(you won't be using all of the dressing - it can be saved in the
refrigerator for up to three weeks)
